We were sent here by Four Seasons, and had a good experience. No pressure, no bogus apple tea, lots of good information. Ultimately did not buy, but will be back on our next trip. Refreshing after all the bogus tourist mill carpet stores we ended up at.

Doing my homework prior to coming to Istanbul, I arrived at the conclusion that authentic Turkish double-knotted Hereke rugs are very durable, and highly sought after. I also learned that many of the rugs sold in the Grand Bazzar are, in fact, made in China and worth a fraction of the money being spent on them. Working with local guides in Istanbul (and independently the Four Seasons referral), was glad to find Hereke Hali.My experience with Erkut Kula at the shop was both educational, and completely without pressure/stress.
