Adelante Trabzon Hostel Service

Great place to stay! Clean and good comfort hostel.

There are a lot of hills in Trabzon, and this place is halfway up one of them. Weary and sweaty travellers can expect a warm welcome from Elif’s, who is part host, part storyteller and part local guru. The website says 'Adalante', but really this is ‘Elif's Place’. It’s a good base to explore the local area, and if you need advice, Elif will enlighten you with the help of her laminated map. My only gripe is the cost, which at around €20 per night seemed quite steep for this part of Turkey. That said, beds were super comfy, breakfast was decent and the location good, if you don’t mind hills.

I stayed here for three nights, it's a good place to get some rest and calm down for a few days. In my case I could get a lot of work done, while still visiting the city center, which is very close and get an idea of a turkish city, with almost no tourists. Elif is a very friendly host, she arranged a vegan breakfast for me, which was really awesome! The place is clean and quite during the night.If you're looking for a place to stay before you enter Georgia e.g. then this is it :)There are also sights nearby like the Sumela Monastery for example.

I GOT ARRESTED! WARNING! .. Worst experience i had in my whole travel history, this owner is EXTREMLY rude shouting all the time at me and all guests, talking so much about any question would take 30 - 40 mins wasting so much time and energy.. she's so negative making fun about whatever you work/do, I'm an influencer, she started making fun of younger generations these days and how stupid we are, nevermind, at the end the problem was i had dollars not Lira so i told her i wanna go exchange or you take dollars, she refused and took my bag and opened it took my laptop and cameras as a guarantee!.. i said this is not okay i want them back, she threw them and called the police, i wanted to leave the door she grabbed me from my shirt and tore it with her nails in my chest.. i didn't fight back cause she's an old lady but waited for the police, i got arrested for a day until they brought a translator ofcourse no one speaks English, then they had me to pay, now waiting for the case and court, i cannot travel i lost my flight and i don't have enough money to spend in hotels nor anywhere.. i would never recommend this place in general is bad as hostel anyways.. but probably she knows it's the only hostel in Trabzon that's why.Pray for me :)

Elif, the owner whom speaks perfect english gave us a tour of the city and took us to pick fruits from trees. Hostel has breakfast included and if you dont like boiled eggs she will make you simething else. Highly recommend this hostel to everyone. City is closeby and supermarkets are very near

The owner didn't accept us because my gf is Turkish and she said we don't accept turks! It was super insulting. The location was also bad and we had to walk to much. This hostel owner ruined my whole experience of Trabzon.
