The rental process was smooth and easy, the people at the counter spoke very fluent english and explained everything to me.Unfortunately just one day after the start of the rental, the computer showed that the service for the car had not been done, as it kept asking me for it.Yesterday I had a puncture in the tire because of a bubble, I tried to contact the office (open 24/7!) for instructions but no one answered in the past 18 hours (they have seen my messages on Whatsapp though, still no answer) and I'm stuck 700 kilometers from Istanbul not knowing what to do.UPDATE:We finally agreed for a refund of the repair.All was good, except that when I arrived at the airport all the rental car offices were open but not Hertz. Multiple people waiting in front of it and no one at the counter for more than an hour.

Worst car rent experience EVER.I booked a car with pickup at the airport, but they can only give out at the airport from 12 noon. So I had to drive 2.5 hours by public transportation to the Asian side of town to their other office. I ordered a Megan with good equipment, and they gave me Focus with absolutely terrible equipment, with huge mileage and a bunch of minor problems. I agree these cars are of the same class and it is normal replacement, but the equipment and condition of the machine is also important. At that they had Megan in the parking lot, but apparently it is only for select" clients. The surrender process was easy

The worst experience ever. Don’t do my mistake. Thieves for sure and their office not related to Hertz global offices(you can’t get help from Hertz customer service center)I gave them my credit cards and the kept charging unreasonable charges and I can’t do anything).They’re top notch thieves, sad for Hertz how they let thieves represent them!!)Again don’t do my mistake specially when they have a good rent prices, they steal you with no reason and no evidence, go find A good company.

I'm a Malaysian driving license holder which has photo of mine on the license. Do I need an international license to rent a car in Turkey or my current country license is sufficient? Appreciate your reply on this. Thanks

اضريت استاجر منهم لأني مالقيت ديزل الا عندهم، لأن وقت وصولي متأخر، لكن بعدما سلمت السيارة ناقشوني على خدش موجود من قبل، فتفاجؤوا بأني قمت بالتصوير مسبقا فتلعثموا وأخبروني بأنهم سيتم احتساب يوم إضافي لأنني قمت بتسليم السيارة الساعة 14:00، وبسؤالهم عن ذلك أخبروني بأن المفترض أن أسلمهم الساعة 13:00.بمجرد زيادة ساعة واحدة زاد يوم إضافي كامل!والذي أنصح به دائما الشركة المجاورة للمحل واسمها (cizgi) باللون الأزرق.

Do not rent from this Hertz. Thieves! I rented a car and showed them dents on the car when I picked up the car. They marked the dents on the receipt and told me all dents are marked. When I returned the car they point to the dent that was already there before saying this dent is new and they wanted me to sign papers accepting responsibility. Complete liars despite i have papers and photos! Then they charge my credit card automatically for damage! Now i am submitting photos to credit card company! Dont waste your time with them. You will regret it.

We rented a car from Istanbul airport for our vacation in Turkey. The Hertz representative at the front desk processed our reservation and gave us all the information, especially regarding HGS/OGS (tolls for Otoyol and other highways). The cars can be used in the HGS lane without any issues. Car can be picked up across the office in the terminal at the car park area. We inspected the car with the representative and made sure all the dings were noted. Full insurance is reasonable, so we added to our original reservation.We had issues with HGS toll at two spots, one on the way to Fatih from the airport and back and also while coming into Istanbul from the Asian side(O-6/O-7), had to get a ticket and pay cash which was not much. Not sure if this is still being worked with the Toll authority. The car could have been a bit cleaner in the interior.But overall very good experience, please keep up the good job.
