Çuval | contemporary accessories handcrafted in Istanbul | Meaning “sack” in Turkish, the first cultural appliance that mankind ever created to carry was the inspiration behind the name when we first started making bags in 2010. Established in 2012 by Ayşe Özgüneş, Çuval is the first sustainable accessory brand in Turkey.

Kendimde lüks bir markaya sahip olduğum için kaliteli ürünleri hemen fark ediyorum. İstanbul'un en güzel noktalarından birinde bulunan bu şirin dükkânı gözden kaçırmak imkansız. Vitrinideki ürünler hemen kalitelerinden kendilerini belli ediyorlardı. Kız arkadaşım burdan aldığım çantasına bayıldı. Tasarımlarını ve işçiliklerini çok beğendiğim için kendime özel sipariş bir çanta yaptırıyorum.

These bags are top notch quality. I still use my bag that I bought over eight years ago, and its quality hasn’t suffered a bit. As a matter of fact, it looks as if it’s brand new. The collections are all unique and one can tell that the creator/designer has put a lot of thought and care into the philosophy behind each one of them. I ordered two of the bags online and they arrived on the time that was promised and in perfect conditions. I highly recommend this brand. It is important to support independently owned fashioned brands, but even more so if the owner puts such wonderful effort into what they do.

Cuval is our go to brand for bags! Thoughtfully designed, eco friendly and incredibly sturdy companions. Ayse, the owner and founder is a treat, always a pleasure to catch her for a fun conversation while shopping. Ayse put together a curation of her favorite things from other local designers as well. With beautiful Arnavutkoy in the backdrop, the Cuval Store is a littleGem that is always worth the visit.
