Stay away from this airline, they're clearly crooks. Just before boarding our 2nd flight to Rome at the Istanbul airport, we discovered my passport and boarding pass was missing. We immediately informed the TK gate crew, who directed me to the police but offered no other help. I sought help from the TK staff throughout the two hours it took to finally locate the passport, and yet when we went through the process of getting on another flight, they insisted that they were going to penalize us as a no-show"

This is by FAR the absolute worst airline that I have ever traveled with.Avoid Turkish airlines at all cost. They called us and told us to be 8 hours before the flight because the flight was overbooked.We arrived 8 hours before the flight to the airport expecting some sort of courtesy. When in the airport they told us though luck, that the flight was completely overbooked. We asked for the LEGAL compensation and they told us that it wasn't an option in turkey. After going to the police and calling our agency they told us that they had two separated seats in the flight. It was not ok.We had to fight for 2 hours to get seats together. My partner had some health issues so we politely asked if we could be upgraded to first class. Everything was ok, and they gave us 2 seats together in the 11th row guaranteeing that it was business.After the security controls we came to the business lounge and SURPRISE: we weren't in business. They lied to us in order to get us out of the counter. My partner was absolutely upset and they didn't even offer a glass of water. This sort of service should be considered a scam. I asked for a complaint form and they told me that it wasn't possible to generate a proper paperwork.After arriving home I will consult with my lawyer for legal actions.Don't ever fly with Turkish airlines, you will be better off flying with ANY low cost airline.Also, the IST airport is more expensive than bessel and don't have any comfort for nobody that's not paying a first class ticket.Not flying with Turkish airlines ever again. And actually I don't think I would be coming back to Turkey for a long period of time.
