Dr Hale Arikoglu prescribed me with “Invisalign” active retainers during a consultation in September 2021. She advised me that the product would help straighten my front teeth which had begun to come out of alignment after orthodontic treatment in South Africa some thirty years earlier.  She advised me to wear the product continually (except when eating & drinking hot liquids) for a period of 3 months and then as a night-retainer, for the long-term, thereafter. However, despite taking all due care on my part, the product cracked and became ineffective within 6 weeks. Regrettably, Dr Hale refused to take responsibility for the defective product. Upon attempting to reach a resolution with Dr Hale I took advice from a highly-respected Orthodontist in another city who was recommended both by my own dentist and by Dr Hale herself. The expert opinion of this Orthodontist was that the product supplied by Dr Hale was not in fact an “Invisalign” but rather a cheap imitation with an expected lifespan of no more than 10 weeks. To date, Dr Hale has refused to take my complaint seriously or reimburse me for the defective product. I am therefore unable to recommend her service. Her competency may be acceptable and manner pleasant but, in my experience, her character is questionable. (Michele Aiken, November 2021)
